Some of the best learning is done outside. That’s why our newly renovated outdoor play area is such an important part of each child’s experience here at 4Kidz Childcare. Our approach to outdoor learning gives children opportunities to explore, play, discover and develop new skills in the fresh air.
Outdoor play is an important part of everyday life at 4Kidz. Rather than just being somewhere to let off steam, our outdoor spaces provide another environment for learning, helping children build confidence, independence and curiosity through experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Children naturally learn through exploring the world around them. Outdoor environments give them the freedom to move, investigate and experience things that simply aren’t possible indoors.
From active play and physical challenges to discovering nature, imaginative games and creative activities, our team uses outdoor experiences here in our nursery to support children’s learning and development.
Time outside can help children develop their gross motor skills, coordination and balance while encouraging them to become more confident in what their bodies can do. Playing alongside other children also creates opportunities to practice communication, cooperation, problem-solving and turn-taking.
Most importantly, we want children to enjoy being outdoors and develop positive associations with movement, nature and exploration from an early age.
