Day Nursery and Crèche Policies and Procedures
Law requires policy documents to be in place within our nursery.
All Nursery policies and procedures, including risk assessments, are reviewed annually.
All parents are advised to read the policies on starting at our nursery to ensure they are fully updated on Nursery policy and practice. When a policy is changed in any way we will ensure a copy is sent to parents informing them of these changes.
If you require these policies in any other format please ask a member of the management team.
Where the term “parents” has been used it refers to anyone acting in the role of parent, carer or
guardian bringing his or her child to the Nursery.
We are inspected by OFSTED as dictated by the Children’s Act 1989. A certificate is issued stating that we have maintained acceptable standards, which includes the quality of care and education,

We are in receipt of grant funding for all eligible children (3 and 4 year olds) and therefore legally
we must ensure that we are working within Hertfordshire County Council’s framework, where we
abide by the conditions and requirements set down in the Hertfordshire Early Years Handbook.
We also keep up close links and good relations with the local primary schools and Children’s Centre.
